The problem of the “Gandhi Pathway” is the path of urban axis communication from the west front of “Abbas Abad lands” to Valiasr Street.
Tehran is one of the world's most complex and specific cities—a city with a lot of social potential but little space.
The main issue of this project is to look at this pathway as the only defined pedestrian entrance to attain Abbas Abad lands. This entrance starts from Valiasr Street; it covers Jordan and Gandhi Streets and leads to Water and Fire Park at the ends.
The idea of “Gandhi Pathway” is to make space a part of this enormous and invisible social capacity.
Space potential begins with the memory and pleasure of the first carousel in Tehran amusement park (Fanfare Vanak) on the steps of Valiasr Street. It ends at Jostejoo Park with a view of Tehran from the top of the ziggurat.
